Ford Ships 1st consignment

The Figo is already topping the sales charts, & with the rising worldwide demand for compact vehicles, Ford India designs to speed up their exports & enhance their business growth.

This way, they require to establish India's reputation as a chief regional auto manufacturing hub. In South Africa, Ford India hopes to meet the demands of 123 dealerships by mid-July & also export 5,000 cars by year finish. The Ford Figo had made its debut in March, & since then it's generated over 24,000 orders for Ford India.

Its success can be further seen in the 7,269 units sold this June compared to a mere 1,982 units last year. The recent Figo shipment also hopes to establish an export relationship between Ford India & Ford South Africa. Other potential markets at the moment are in the Asia Pacific region. Ford India will be increasing its capacity to about 1.40 lakh units, with its Maraimalai Nagar plant producing about four lakh units with two shifts.
